This tutorial will show you how to create a holiday wreath.
Draw an ellipse with the Ellipse Tool by holding Shift to make the ellipse proportional. Give the fill and stroke .

Then navigate to Edit > Copy and then Edit > Paste in Front to make a duplicate of the ellipse. Now hold Shift + Alt and grab a corner handle and drag inward.

Choose both the ellipses and go to the Pathfinder window (Window > Pathfinder). Hold the Alt key and click on the "Subtract from shape area" option. to cut a hole into the ellipse.

Select the ellipse and move to Effect > Distort & Transform > Roughen. Relative size may vary based on the size of the object. You can use "Preview" option to see the changes in action. I used a Relative size of 7%, a Detail of 100%, and Smooth points.

Create a copy of the image we paste in front and then size it inward. Choose the object and navigate to Edit > Copy and then Edit > Paste in Front. Hold Shift + Alt and grab one of the corner handles and drag inward. Change the colour of the object to a lighter yellow for both the fill and stroke and also rotate it a little bit.

Repeat the Step 5 once again. Choose the newly created object and navigate to Edit > Copy and then Edit > Paste in Front. Hold Shift + Alt and grab one of the corner handles and drag inward. Change the colour of this object back to a darker green for the fill and white for the stroke and then rotate it slightly.

Now let’s add some decorations! Navigate to Window > Symbols. Then click on the little arrow on the Symbols window and select Open Symbol Library > Celebration.

Drag the bow from the symbol window to the document. Size it up or down and place to your preference.
Here is the final result:
